The battle of the eye creams: Flash review

I'm always on the lookout for an eye cream. I have hereditary dark under eye circles so I am always trying out new eye creams. Apart from dark circles my under eye are very dry, so hydration, pigmentation lighting, and lifting are key for me. Dr Dennis Gross Stress SOS Eye Cream is new on the market and of course I had to try it. The name got me, I think everyone has felt somewhat stressed at some point during the Corona pandemic. Because of my disrupted sleep sleep cycles, and my under circles darkening I had to give this eye cream a try!

It claims to be a potent eye cream loaded with niacinamide B3 superfoods and adaptogens to reduce visible signs of aging, stress, and worry lines. Key ingredients in this eye cream are caffeine which helps to tighten and minimize puffiness, and niacinamide, which is great for uneven skin toned, dullness and weakened skin. I have been using this eye cream for a few weeks already, it is hydrating but not hydrating enough for me. It has a lovely texture though that layers quite well under makeup, if massaged well into the skin.

It is a great day eye cream, as it does tighten and firm the under eye area, but it didn't do much for my dark under eye circles. After application my eyes feel very refreshed. For evening though, I would still find myself reaching for my Sisley Eye Contour mask or my Kiehls Creamy Avocado eye cream as they are much more hydrating. The price is quite steep for a 15 ml jar, so try and get a sample to test if it works for you before purchasing the full size.
